This year we went back to basics, saw more Elite Fire employees returning to the office and building better relationships with each other due to face-to-face meetings, and a new drive to complete jobs successfully.
We had two new joiners at Elite Fire, with the most recent starting in October, and we celebrated an anniversary, which since we have started, we consider a huge milestone for the company. We hope you enjoy reading our last newsletter for the year and do not forget to pop us an email for compliments or comments.
A few words from the Managing Director
Although there has been an improvement from last year’s learnings, this year came with its own challenges. While companies are still recovering from COVID-19 and being hit with sticky inflation and high interest rates, budgets continue to be tighter than previous years, which does make tendering for projects slightly challenging.
I can assure you that our business in the future will look good and we will continue to work together with our clients and suppliers. We have a team that is dedicated to providing the best possible quality of service for each project. Our Project Managers and Site Supervisor work tirelessly to manage our customer’s expectations, communicate effectively with each discipline involved in the project, and conclude the project with a successful signoff. The Executive Projects Assistant and Senior Financial Cost Accountant do a lot of “behind the scenes” work that often gets overlooked by others.
I can only thank “our people” for their hard work and perseverance throughout the year to ensure its success. It was an absolute pleasure to have them all on board.
In 2023 we will stay committed to protect the environment we live and work in by delivering quality solutions with pride and integrity.
Social Responsibility – Spreading the joy of Christmas
For 2022, we aimed to improve our social responsibility and we achieved both our company objectives.
Our last one for the year was to help spread the joy of Christmas with those that need a renewed sense of hope for the year to come. It is a season of giving and taking time to remember that we are more than just a business.
This year we chose the traditional boxes which allowed for each person to personally choose the children they wanted to gift shoeboxes to and delivered it personally to the drop off point.
The Santa Shoebox Project started in 2006 with a humble of 180 boxes and over the 16 years this number has grown to 1 077 289, reaching children around South Africa and Namibia. We hope to continue contributing to their initiative in the years to come.
It was a quarter of clearance & signoffs
With the end of year approaching, we are seeing more projects being completed. We are happy that we successfully obtained fire department inspection and clearance, and signoff at the following projects where articles were uploaded onto LinkedIn this year:
New Joiner
Elite Fire Protection is proud to announce that Hendrik “Hennie” Groenewald joined us during the month of October as Senior Project Manager. He joined us with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the fire industry and we are lucky to have him on board.
We believe he possesses the core values of the business to ensure its success in 2023 and will be a great asset to the team in helping them grow.
Elite Fire celebrates 5 years
Elite Fire was registered in 2017 with a dream of becoming a successful small business. It started as a “one-man show” and slowly grew to 7 employees over the 5 years. We went through challenging times to find the right people and this year we can say without a doubt, we have them.
We grew as a company in many ways that we can be proud of, and we have our clients, suppliers and employees to thank for being supportive and believing in us.
