These rules govern participation in the “High Risk. High Reward – Mystery Inspection” competition run by Elite Fire Protection 370 (Pty) Ltd, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), National Lotteries Commission (NLC) and applicable South African laws.

1. Eligibility

This competition is open to Gauteng businesses operating a warehouse, factory, or industrial facility. It is exclusive to Gauteng based on accessibility.  

The entrant must be the owner, director, safety officer, or facility manager of the nominated warehouse, or have the express permission of such.

Employees, subcontractors, directors, and immediate family members (spouses, siblings, children, parents) of Elite Fire Protection 370 (Pty) Ltd are not eligible to enter or benefit from the prize in any way.

2. How to Enter

Entrants must complete the competition entry form.

One entry per facility is permitted. Multiple branches of the same store may enter if each has a separate, completed form.

No purchase is required to enter.

Entry constitutes acceptance of these terms.

3. Prize

Two facilities will be selected per month to receive a free surprise fire compliance inspection conducted by Elite Fire Protection.

There are no costs associated with the prize. The word “free” is specific to the competition – an inspection including a high-level compliance check based on SANS 10287 and other relevant fire safety codes in South Africa.

The prize includes a brief written summary report with observations and recommendations to ensure optimal fire safety for the property and employees of the business.

The prize does not include any physical corrective work, certification, or signoffs unless separately quoted and agreed upon between both parties.

4. Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected at Elite Fire Protection’s sole discretion and panel selection based on safety relevance, facility type, and entry motivation.

Winners will be notified via email and/or phone and if agreed, announced on Elite Fire’s official social media platforms.

Site access must be granted within 30 days of selection, or the prize will be forfeited.

5. General Conditions

The decision of Elite Fire Protection is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

Elite Fire Protection reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entries.

Winners agree to allow the use of anonymised photos or non-sensitive findings for marketing and awareness purposes (optional consent form to be provided).

The prize is not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash or other services.

Elite Fire Protection reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms without notice in the event of a force majeure or any actual or anticipated breach of applicable law.

6. Disclaimer

Participation is at the entrant’s own risk.

All personal information collected through this competition will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Names and contact details of winners for audit purposes for at least 3 years.

Elite Fire Protection accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the competition or use of the prize.
