Elite Fire Protection was awarded an opportunity to design, supply and install fire protection at a logistics company in 2023.
This logistics company provides its service throughout Southern Africa and has been developed for over 30 years. They offer an exclusive supply chain solution, specializing in client and fleet requirements. With a dedicated pool of vehicles and staff customized to the client’s operational needs, enabling the client to share the benefits of our procurement, maintenance, and risk management capacity.
In keeping with our theme for this quarter, Fire Sprinkler Protection from Start to Finish, we have decided to do a follow-on case study with the successful completion of this project.
In this case study, we discuss the successful design, supply and installation of a fire protection system for a logistics company.

Client and insurance requirements were ASIB Clearance Certification.
Process outline
Once the project was completed by the Company, an ASIB inspection was booked.
Whilst we awaited the inspection, quality checks were performed by the Contracts Manager, to ensure that the equipment and quality standard would be met.
An inspection date was confirmed and performed in the presence of the Contracts Manager.
ASIB CLEARANCE CERTIFICATION
The Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau (ASIB) is a South African company that was founded in 1970 by the thirty-five short term insurance companies that were operating at that time.
ASIB is a regulatory authority that enforces strict codes, standards, and rules for the design, installation, and equipment used in fire protection systems. Recognized by insurance companies across South Africa, ASIB’s Clearance Certification is a mark of quality and compliance, yet it is notoriously difficult to achieve on the first inspection due to the rigorous nature of their assessments. At Elite Fire Protection, we pride ourselves on our expertise and attention to detail, which enabled us to successfully secure ASIB Clearance Certification on our first attempt, underscoring our commitment to the highest standards in fire protection.
