Elite Fire bid for and was awarded a tender towards the end of 2020.
A mall in Mpumalanga, housing approximately 50 stores had issues with water supply. The existing underground hydrant line was connected with the domestic line and Elite Fire was hired for its required upgrade due to its services offered.

Project Scope
- Construction of non-existing pump house;
- Design & install a dedicated fire hydrant pump;
- Supply & install a new 240m3 water storage tank;
- Design & install a new hydrant line above ground for entire shopping centre
Process Outline
A pump house was constructed to hold a fire hydrant diesel motor, with a water storage tank to supply the mall with fire hydrant reticulation throughout the entire mall. The fire sprinkler system was to be supplied from a dedicated water supply.
Challenges
Community issues arose immediately once work commenced, although accommodated prior to commencement. They were resolved together with the community members and centre management.
